FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Fresno voters could potentially vote between two different transportation tax measures in November.

The countywide “Better Roads, Safe Streets” measure is intended to replace Measure C, which expires next year.

But its path to the November ballot has been caught up in a fight between the county and the state.

So, Dyer says the city submitted its own tax as a backup to keep transportation funding in place if “better roads” doesn’t survive a legal challenge.

Dyer does suggest that voters vote yes on both measures.

The city measure is written to end once the countywide tax takes effect.
