OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) – A Flint man was arrested in Oakland County after police say he was found intoxicated and asleep behind the wheel, blocking travel lanes of I-75.
Michigan State Police responded to I-75 near Clintonville Road Sunday evening, around 8:45 p.m., to a vehicle blocking the travel lanes on the interstate.
When police arrived, they woke the driver and saw open intoxicants in the passenger seat. They also found two knives that were nine and 12 inches long when they searched the vehicle.
According to Michigan State Police, his preliminary blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit. He is also a convicted felon out on bond for operating while intoxicated.
The 44-year-old Flint man was taken to the Oakland County Jail on multiple charges, including;
Two counts of CCW.Two counts of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.Open intoxicants.Operating without insurance.Operating while intoxicated, high BAC.
