“The victim fought hard despite the odds and deserved justice in this case,” Assistant District Attorney Tanisha Gooch said in a press release on Tuesday. “I want to thank the jury for their careful consideration.”
Brown was convicted of assault with intent to commit a felony, attempted rape by force or violence or by threat of bodily injury, attempted sexual penetration by foreign object, force and violence, sexual battery by restraint, simple assault, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, felony false imprisonment and two counts of misdemeanor vandalism, prosecutors said.
