The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a domestic assault involving a hammer that occurred around 3 a.m. Tuesday on the 14100 block of Brighton Avenue in Poway.
Deputies said the victim’s husband is suspected in the assault and remains at large. Authorities have not released his description.
The victim was transported to a hospital. Her condition and the extent of injuries are unknown.
