BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A routine home visit in southeast Bakersfield ended with an arrest after probation officers found a loaded revolver and ammunition, authorities said.
On Monday, August 10, 2026, officers assigned to the Kern County Probation Department’s AB109 Division, Mandatory Supervision Unit, conducted a home call in the 500 block of East Fairview Drive.
There, officers contacted Daniel Alarcon, who is on mandatory supervision and felony probation.
During a search of the home, officers said they found a loaded .31-caliber revolver and ammunition.

Alarcon was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, as well as for allegedly violating the terms of his mandatory supervision and felony probation.
