A company that scans the body and promises a quick turnaround on skin, blood, and heart data, coupled with an immediate clinician visit, is eyeing a location in Union Square.
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek started Neko Health, which on Tuesday filed permits with the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection for a health and medical space on the first and third floors of 100 Stockton St. Neko Health plans to open in New York City this year; the San Francisco location has not been announced.
Neko Health representatives did not respond to requests for comment. Kazuko Morgan of Cushman & Wakefield, the lead broker on the deal, declined to comment.
Health tech and body scanners have captured the attention of health-maxxers in San Francisco. Midjourney, an AI company, recently announced plans for a spa concept that would include its newly developed body scanners, as well as hot tubs and saunas. The planned location is just a few blocks away, at 300 Grant St., outside of Union Square. Midjourney has not filed building permits, but renderings on its website (opens in new tab) show four floors of scanners, plunge pools, and gathering areas.
