The Bakersfield Police Department asked for the public’s help Wednesday in identifying a man who it says committed grand theft Friday at Glenbrook Apartments, 4840 Planz Road.
A BPD news release said the man arranged to meet the victim through Facebook Marketplace to buy a gold chain. But instead of paying for the item, it said, he fled on foot.
The release described him as Black and in his late teens with a thin build. It said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and prescription eyeglasses. Police suspect he lives somewhere between Planz Road and Apple Blossom Drive.
