Two men were injured in a shooting early Thursday after leaving a bar in North Park.
The shooting occurred at 2 a.m. as the victims were walking south on 30th Street near University Avenue. An unknown man walked up behind them and began firing a handgun, according to San Diego police.
Police said the attack appeared to be unprovoked. There was no physical altercation or verbal exchange prior to the gunfire, and neither victim knew the suspect, police said.
A 42-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 33-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his hand and declined medical treatment, the department reported.
The shooter ran away after firing. He was described as a man in his 20s wearing a black hat, a black T-shirt and black jeans.
