The original agreement, signed in November 2025, called for the two ports to develop zero-emission infrastructure plans covering cargo-handling equipment, harbor craft, trucks, trains and ocean-going vessels.
The South Coast AQMD approved the addendum earlier this month, followed by the Long Beach Harbor Commission. Approval by the Los Angeles Harbor Commission puts the changes into effect, according to port officials.
