Three Sacramento men have been convicted of kidnapping and robbing a Southern California businessman in Lancaster in 2023, a jury determined.

Jerome Franklin Jr., Andrae Hawkins, and De’Andre Lamont King were found guilty of kidnapping, restraining, and threatening the victim at his workplace while demanding money and gold jewelry.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the victim’s home was also invaded during the crime. He was later abandoned by the kidnappers and rescued.

Franklin, Hawkins, and King could face life in prison and are scheduled to be sentenced in November.

Two co-defendants, Shanjeet Brar and Peter Arafiles Jr., have pleaded guilty in connection with the crime. Arafiles is serving a 10-year prison sentence.
