California Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist was hurt following a crash on I-5 south of 80 just before 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

According to CHP, traffic ahead of the motorcyclist slowed down, and they ran into a Sedan ahead of them. 

“He continued to the left and struck a trailer of a semi truck,” CHP said. “The semi-truck fled the scene prior to CHP arrival.”

CHP says the motorcyclist suffered major injuries. Their current condition is unknown.
