Man in critical condition after hit-and-run in Sacramento

(FOX40.COM) — A man is in critical condition after being struck by two vehicles in Sacramento, one of which fled the scene, police said.

Just after 9 p.m. Friday, the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Oak Park after reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, police said.

The pedestrian was struck twice by two separate vehicles before officers arrived on scene. According to police, the first vehicle fled after striking the victim, and the second vehicle remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators.

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital, where he is in critical condition as of Saturday morning.
