(KRON)– A Lamborghini Aventador was discovered to be damaged on a highway near San Jose, according to CHP San Jose.
In a social media post, CHP San Jose says they responded to reports of a vehicle fire last week.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, and there was no indication of a mechanical issue that started the fire.
The car appears to have belonged to Gabe Farrell, a digital content creator known for car videos.
In an Instagram post, Farrell wrote a goodbye message to his estimated half-million-dollar car, stating it was a dream of his to own this car, but they can always be replaced. He wrote that he was grateful no one was hurt.
KRON4 reached out to Farrell for a comment, but we have not heard back at the time.
CHP San Jose took the opportunity to remind the public that vehicle fires can spark at anytime, without reason.
If your car catches fire, they say to pull over and turn off the engine, move away from the car, and call 911. Never return to a fire to grab your belongings.
