Relatives of David Granado Jr. appeal for concert footage and witness information from a critical 90-minute gap.

The family of David Granado Jr. is looking for answers after he suffered a “traumatic and ultimately fatal brain injury” while attending the Warped Tour in Long Beach. Granado went to the long-running punk and alternative rock concert tour on July 26 with his girlfriend, brother, and friends. He was a resident of San Jose, California, and passed away on July 30.
On the verified GoFundMe page created by a family member, it says, “As the family tries to piece together the timeline of what exactly happened to Dave in the hours leading up to being transported to the hospital, they are also facing the unexpected logistics and cost of medical bills and final arrangements. Funds from this will go directly to Dave’s mother.”

The Long Beach Police Department is conducting an investigation. Still, the family encourages anyone who saw what happened to David Granado Jr. on that day or who might have footage of him when he was separated from his family and friends to contact the family through the GoFundMe.
David Granado Jr. was wearing a green and orange Chiodos shirt, and he was separated from his group during a 90-minute window of time starting during Thrice’s set, roughly after the song “Gnash,” at or near the “Off the Wall” stage.
Granado’s brother, Alejandro, said in a Reddit post that “It was just supposed to be a fun show like the countless others we went to together, and a bright, kind, fun, and music-loving light has been extinguished, and those who loved him’s lives will never be the same. Take care of those you love and make sure they know you love them.”
