BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 21-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing and killing a man Monday afternoon in south Bakersfield.
The Bakersfield Police Department said on Monday, August 17th, 2026, at around 3:30 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 400 block of White Lane for a report of a victim suffering from severe injuries from stab wounds.
Police said emergency medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
BPD homicide detectives began investigating and arrested 21-year-old Erionna Russel.
Russel was booked into Kern County Jail for second-degree murder.
Police said Russel and the victim knew each other, and there are no outstanding suspects in this case.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
