Proposed senior center hopes to provide services to those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or Dementia can be challenging.

A local organization is working to build a new senior center to provide support for adults who need extra care.

Spokespeople Mary Lou Miller and Martha Miller joined ARC Bakersfield to share more details.

The community is invited to learn more about the proposed center at the “Uncorking the Future” event taking place Thursday, September 10, at the Stockdale Country Club.

The event will highlight future plans and showcase how donations will be used to provide long-term programs for those in need.
