FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A woman has been arrested three weeks after a fatal hit-and-run crash in west Fresno killed a motorcyclist.

The Fresno Police Department responded to a vehicle-versus-motorcycle collision at West Dakota Avenue and North Fruit Avenue around 9:20 p.m. on July 1st.

Police said the motorcyclist was killed and the suspect vehicle, a Buick Enclave, left the scene.

Detectives obtained video showing a side profile of the suspect vehicle as it left the area.

During the investigation, detectives also received a Crime Stoppers tip that provided the name of a possible suspect.

Police said detectives linked the suspect to an Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) to confirm the vehicle associated with the driver matched the one seen leaving the scene.

McKenzie was arrested July 20th and booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges related to the fatal hit-and-run.
