Over in Clovis, a student was involved in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash. There were no injuries, Clovis police spokesperson Ty Wood said.
Clovis Unified spokesperson Kelly Avants said the student was dropped off at the Gettysburg Elementary parking lot by his parents Monday.
Shortly after exiting the car, the student became distracted, walked in the wrong direction and was knocked down by a car.
Coinciding with the new school year, the City of Fresno also recently rolled out 20 mph speed limits in school zones in an effort to help promote student safety.
