BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A new sweet spot for a sweet treat is now open in southwest Bakersfield.

This is Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt’s first location in Kern County.

The shop serves frozen yogurt made with California based dairy and along with açai bowls.
Two Bakersfield families own and operate the new location and said they wanted to to bring something they’re passionate about to the community they grew up in.

“I was just super excited about bringing a product of such quality to Bakersfield knowing that I think we were lacking also a space where you can come and enjoy something like this, we’ve got so much seating in here and the ability to have groups come in and out,” said Golden Spoon co-owner, Cecily Jones.

Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt is located in The Marketplace at 9000 Ming Ave.
