WASHINGTON (TNND) — Former California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell had his electronics seized by the FBI as part of a criminal probe, according to multiple reports.
Swalwell had his electronics seized at San Francisco International Airport on Thursday, according to the New York Post.
According to the Daily Caller, agents have also executed a search warrant at his home in Washington D.C. and seized his electronics.
Earlier this year, Swalwell resigned from Congress due to sexual assault allegations. He also dropped his bid for California governor.
As of now, Swalwell has not made a public statement.
He denied the sexual abuse allegations earlier this year.
“I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past,” he said earlier this year. “I will fight serious, false allegations made against me. However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make.”
