Capitol Commodore cruise ship unveiled at Sacramento waterfront

City Cruises held a re-christening event for the Capitol Commodore at the Sacramento waterfront on Wednesday, unveiling the larger and recently refurbished cruise ship that will replace the Capitol Hornblower.

“We want to be able to provide more opportunities for people to come out,” said Christopher McKenna with City Cruises.

He said historic river cruises takes place on Thursdays, Fridays and on weekend mornings.

“And we also do our adult cruises in the evenings for people who want to get out on the water,” he said.

The Capitol Commodore features a new interior and seating for over 100 guests. City Cruises also announced plans to offer new dining options aboard the ship next year.
