FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Queer Housing Summit returns to Fresno this weekend with an expanded two-day event focused on housing, community organizing, and LGBTQ+ issues.
The 4th Annual Queer Housing Summit will take place August 21 and 22 at Fresno City College’s Old Administration Building and will be hosted by South Tower Community Land Trust.
This year’s theme, “Over the Borderline,” explores how LGBTQ+ communities can build safe housing, connections, and support systems.

The summit will feature workshops and discussions on homeownership, tenant organizing, rent strikes, community land trusts, mutual aid, and affordable housing.
Keynote speakers include writer and educator Dr. Amber Alton and bestselling author and home repair educator Mercury Stardust, known online as the “Trans Handy Ma’am.”
Local drag performers, poets, and artists will also perform throughout the event.
