The shooting near Fowler and Shields avenues Thursday afternoon has been classified as a murder-suicide, police say. The victim and suspect have been identified.

The double-fatal shooting investigation that unfolded in Fresno on Thursday afternoon has been classified as a murder-suicide — and police have named the victim and suspect.

Fresno police spokesperson Lt. Larry Bowlan in an update Friday identified the victim as Angelica Reyes, 42; and the suspect was identified as Nicholas Uribe, 42.

Bowlan said the investigation is ongoing, though detectives determined the shooting was a domestic-related incident.

Officers responded to a shooting call at the 6100 block of East Fountain Way, near Fowler and Shields avenues, around 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

Officers found Reyes and Uribe suffering gunshot wounds. They were later pronounced dead.
