Anthony Wint backed up all his talk going into UFC Fight Night 285 with a first-round finish of Terrance Chatman.

Just 11 days after he was awarded a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, Wint (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) showed he’s a heavyweight prospect to watch when he took down then choked Chatman (5-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) unconscious with an arm-triangle at the 4:29 mark of Round 1 on Saturday at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif.

Wint, 30, previously had experience in professional football with the NFL and CFL. He’s since moved to MMA, however, and is thriving with an undefeated record. Now he wants to do more.

“It wasn’t the game plan, but we want it done,” Wint said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. “Y’all in trouble. Boy, you’re all in trouble. .. I will be ready to fight again (soon). I’m going to keep getting better. I’m not going to be same version of Anthony Wint next time I get in the cage.”
