The San Francisco Giants started a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox on Friday. The Giants lost 6-4.
It marked first baseman/designated hitter Rafael Devers‘ first return to Fenway Park since the Red Sox traded him to the Giants in June of last season.
Devers received a mixture of boos and cheers from Red Sox fans. The Giants slugger hit a solo home run in his third at-bat against his former club.
San Francisco will play their second game of the series on Saturday with first pitch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. PST.
Giants Announce Jung Hoo Lee Lineup Change
The Giants revealed their starting lineup ahead of Saturday’s game against the Red Sox. Right fielder Jung Hoo Lee drops to sixth in the batting order.

Lee hit 5th in the lineup in Friday’s game. He finished 0-for-3 with a walk.
The Giants also feature a new leadoff batter. 24-year-old Victor Bericoto will start in left field and is atop the Giants’ lineup.
Center fielder Drew Gilbert led off Friday’s game and hit a two-run shot.
San Francisco has four left-handed batters against left-handed Red Sox starting pitcher Patrick Sandoval (1-2, 4.76 ERA).

Jung Hoo Lee With the Giants
The former KBO superstar signed with the Giants ahead of the 2024 season. But he only played in 37 games before suffering a season-ending injury.
Lee had some bright moments in his first full season the following year. He posted a .266 batting average and .735 OPS. He also recorded 8 home runs, 55 RBIs and 12 triples that season.
The Giants outfielder has become one of the best contact hitters in MLB in his third year with San Francisco.
Lee currently has a .291 batting average. It ranks 11th in all of MLB. He has also recorded a career-high 9 home runs this season.

Looking at the Giants
The Giants are on the verge of losing their seventh series in a row if they do not win Saturday and Sunday’s games against the Red Sox. San Francisco has not swept a team all season.
The Giants are 1-4 in their last five games. Their lone win was a 1-0 shutout victory against the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday.
The orange and black hold a 52-76 record. The SF Giants own the second-worst record in the National League and fourth-worst overall.
