LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — You can now share your thoughts on the interstate that connects Las Vegas with Southern California and what improvements you’d like to see.

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) said it has opened the comment period on Interstate 15 between the state line and the Sloan Interchange.

The comment period is open through Sept. 25.

There will also be an in-person public meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at South Career and Technical Academy, 225 E. Starr Ave. The hearing is open from 4-7 p.m., with a formal presentation starting at 5:30 p.m.

NDOT says that while the I-15 corridor is important for tourism and freight movement, much of the area remains underdeveloped and public input is necessary to identify long-term needs.

Feedback will help NDOT develop an understanding of planned growth and evaluate future traffic demands.
