OAKLAND, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in East Oakland on Monday afternoon.

Oakland police said the shooting was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of 23rd Avenue.
Officers found a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
