The city of Huntington Park is planning a scheduled power outage on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., during peak heat times.
During the power outage, temperatures are expected to be in the high 90s in the area.
According to SoCal Edison, their crews will be performing maintenance on their lines during the outage.
Residents between East 60th Place, Randolph Street, State Street and Arbutus Avenue will be affected.
The scheduled times provided by Edison are subject to change, the city said. Residents are encouraged to contact Edison about using generators by calling 1-888-759-6059.
The outage will occur while Huntington Park is under an extreme heat weather warning which will last from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
