Morrison Tabbed ACC Defensive Player Of The Week

California men’s soccer defender Beau Morrison was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday, August 25.

Morrison played a pivotal role in securing the shutout against No. 6 Portland on the road. The junior from Sacramento enforced tremendous goal line clearance to hold the Pilots scoreless, a team that scored over 40 goals during the 2025 season.

The Golden Bears opened the season at an 0-0-1 mark with the scoreless draw against the Pilots on Friday.

Cal is back on the road this week, heading to Santa Clara to take on the Broncos on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. PT.
