U.S. Capitol Police arrested a California man with a guillotine in the bed of his pickup truck Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Officers noticed the guillotine when they came across the pickup parked illegally in the 100 block of East Capitol Street about 3 p.m., police said. They seized the guillotine.
The 35-year-old man from Julian, California, was arrested for carrying a dangerous weapon.
Police say he drove to D.C. from California. They are investigating why he came to D.C.
