On Aug. 14, Asia Morton was sentenced to one year in jail and one year of mandatory supervision. Prosecutors alleged that she helped her boyfriend at the time, Richard Lund, by helping him secure two vehicles and communicating with him around the time of the shooting. She was arrested at San Francisco International Airport in October 2025 after returning from international travel.
Morton’s attorney requested electronic monitoring or work release, according to a report from the Press Democrat. Prosecutors argued that a letter that she wrote showed minimal remorse, and the judge agreed. Her attorney said the limited expression of remorse was based on his legal advice.
