“The occupants of the two stationary vehicles, two female adults and two children, were not injured in the collision,” according to the statement. “The male adult driver of the Volvo initially fled the scene, then returned a short time later and was taken into custody.”
Compton resident Adalberto Delgado-Perez, 38, was booked into the Long Beach City Jail on suspicion of hit and run resulting in death or injury, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury. His bail was set at $100,000.
