In a corner-lot home in St. Francis Wood, a neighborhood in San Francisco, a music room is just as much a conversation-starting Zoom background as it is a creative sanctuary. The homeowners, a couple in their 40s who have worked in tech, initially wanted to do a kitchen and bathroom remodel. Three years later, they have spent more than $20 million overhauling their 9,000-square-foot home.
Lizette Bruckstein, of San Francisco-based Lizette Marie Interior Design, had previously designed an off-site “tinker studio” for the couple. Now they wanted a similar space inside their home and Bruckstein was tasked with turning a room once used for storage and kids’ activities into a dedicated music space.
