The Downtown Sacramento Partnership has just announced its annual Movies Under the Stars lineup. The seasonal outdoor movie series screens films on Thursdays and Fridays in October.
This year’s lineup
“Jurassic Park” (1993) on Thursday, Oct. 1
“Practical Magic” (1998) on Friday, Oct. 2
“E.T.” (1982) on Thursday, Oct. 8
“So I Married an Axe Murderer” (1993) on Friday, Oct. 9
“Hocus Pocus” (1993) on Thursday, Oct. 15, and Friday, Oct. 16
“Halloweentown” (1998) on Thursday, Oct. 22
“Knives Out” (2019) on Friday, Oct. 23
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993) on Thursday, Oct. 29
“A Quiet Place” (2018) on Friday, Oct. 30
Movies are screened at Old Sacramento State Historic Park starting at 7 p.m. The films are projected onto a large outdoor screen, where viewers are given wireless headphones to listen to the sound.
The screening of “A Quiet Place” (2018) on Friday, Oct. 30, will include a costume contest.
Tickets go on sale Sept. 3.
