“Now that she’s back in the atmosphere / With drops of Jupiter in her hair.”

The Grammy-winning 2001 smash hit “Drops of Jupiter” by San Francisco’s own Train sounds as though it’s describing an otherworldly goddess on a ’60s psychedelic rock poster, so it’s appropriate the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of that song and its eponymous album on Haight Street, the center of the Summer of Love.

Bay Area fans filled the street for the free block party on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 27, located outside British soccer pub Mad Dog in the Fog, where Train got their start in the 1990s and also the inspiration for the name of their 12th studio album, “Mad Dog in the Fog,” out Friday, Aug. 28.

The outdoor concert happened one day after the band performed its sold-out Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in the Atmosphere Tour at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View.
