BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Hageman Road will close for a month between Calloway Road and Old Farm Road due to construction starting Monday, August 31. The closure is scheduled to finish on Sept. 30, said city officials.
The east and westbound lanes will be affected from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, Monday through Friday.
Crews will grind and repave the roadway, install thermoplastic and green methyl methacrylate striping and lane markings, and adjust monument encasements.
Lane reductions and closures are expected to impact traffic. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes or plan for additional travel time in the area. Traffic controls will be in place when necessary to ensure safe travel through the work zone.
The city said construction work may be postponed and rescheduled without notice due to inclement weather and other unforeseen conditions.
