Affirmations is an LGBTQ+ community center in Ferndale that offers no-cost, judgment-free health services including testing and prevention services, vaccines, tobacco cessation, recovery and harm reduction, support groups and more. They also offer affordable mental health services by accepting a variety of health insurance plans as well as offering sliding-scale fees for the uninsured. http://www.goaffirmations.org

Oakland County Nurse on Call, now called Oakland Connects The ‘Oakland County Nurse on Call Hotline’ has expanded and been renamed to the ‘Oakland Connects Helpline’ to better respond to all medical and non-medical health concerns including housing, shelter, and other social determinants of health. Their goal is to improve referrals to community organizations specializing in housing and shelter access, and help the community better understand and navigate resources available to them.
