New video shows FBI agents confront former Rep. Eric Swalwell at airport in August
SAN FRANCISCO —
Newly released surveillance video shows the moment FBI agents confronted former Rep. Eric Swalwell at San Francisco International Airport in August.

The footage from Aug. 15 shows agents in plain clothes approaching and surrounding Swalwell near the gate shortly after he exited a plane. Swalwell, wearing a black hoodie and baseball cap, appeared to hand a cellphone to one of the agents before being escorted into a restricted area.
Court records show that agents seized a phone, a charging cable and a laptop during the encounter.
The FBI is investigating Swalwell over allegations of sexual misconduct.
The ex-Democratic congressman from California announced his resignation from Congress in April following allegations that Swalwell had sexually assaulted a woman twice, including when she worked for him. Three other women have alleged various kinds of sexual misconduct by Swalwell, including sending them unsolicited explicit messages or nude photos.
