This influential landmark of alternative rock music wants you to know: all are welcome at Weezer: The Gathering tour.
Grammy Award-winning band Weezer is holding a 32-city arena tour, and their first stop is at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Indie rock bands The Shins and Silversun Pickups are joining them on tour.
The band will be performing from their latest self-titled album, “Weezer,” which can be identified by its gold cover. The album was released on Aug. 21.
Known for tracks like “Say It Ain’t So” and “Buddy Holly,” their rise to mainstream fame was cemented when their debut studio album, “Blue Album,” went triple platinum.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via Ticketmaster. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The band’s North American tour will continue in other cities like Portland, Brooklyn and Orlando before wrapping up in their hometown of Los Angeles on Oct. 24.
Their tour resumes in 2027 with global performances in Tokyo, Dublin, London, Paris, Helsinki and more cities.
Weezer received a Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video for their song “Pork and Beans” in 2009.
