Steve Aoki & Tyga
DJ, music producer, and global sensation Steve Aoki will perform hits from his genre-bending discography spanning nine studio albums and an extensive list of collaborations. Expect to hear songs such as “YAPAQUE,” “Pursuit of Happiness,” “Gravity,” and more. Rapper Tyga will share the stage with Aoki and perform his own mix of lively hits, including “Rack City,” “Taste,” and “Faded.” The EDM duo Twinsick will open the show with a set full of electric mashups and melodies. OC Parks Summer Concert Series
The final summer concert will close out the season with a lively night of soul, R&B, and rock. Enjoy a free concert under the stars at Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach with local Orange County band Family Style. The group’s high-energy performances feature a mix of covers from fan favorite artists such as Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, and Tom Petty. Tchaikovsky Spectacular: Concert of Hope
The Pacific Symphony will perform Tchaikovsky along with pieces from other acclaimed composers. The evening will kick off with a performance of Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” Anna Clyne’s “Masquerade,” Rossini’s Overture to “The Barber of Seville,” and Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony 4, Finale: Allegro con fuoco.” Following a brief intermission, the performance will close out with an electric performance of Tchaikovsky’s beloved “Violin Concerto” and “1812 Overture” complete with a fireworks show. “4 Degrees of Separation: I Really Like Your Work”
Inspired by the collaborative nature of art, this exhibit celebrates the bond between artists and their peers. The program began with Debra Vodhanel choosing two artists who then each nominated an artist of their choosing, and so on, resulting in nine local artists all coming together to curate one big display featuring their work. The pieces range in medium and style, but all tie back together because of the connections between the respective artists. Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, 117 N. Boy George & Culture Club
Boy George exploded onto the music scene with Culture Club in the 1980s. The band quickly made a name for itself with its unique new wave sound. After a few years of touring and performing together and a few albums, Boy George ventured out on his own and had an impressive solo career before the bandmates eventually found their way back to each other and started touring and performing together in 2016. Pageant of the Masters
This year’s theme is “The Greatest of All Time” highlighting artists with unforgettable careers that have left a lasting impact on the arts. 60TH Annual Sawdust Art Festival
Handcrafted pieces from local artists are available for purchase and to view all month long at the popular festival. Stroll through the many booths to view jewelry, ceramics, paintings, and photography, or participate in an art class.
