A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead on a Long Beach road.
On Sept. 3, Long Beach police were called to the 6500 block of Muriel Avenue just before 8:30 a.m.
Arriving officers found a male victim who was unresponsive. He had “suspicious injuries” and police said there were signs of foul play. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified him as Kenneth Shannon, 33, of Long Beach.

No suspect was located nearby. Homicide detectives are investigating the incident as a murder.
