USC enters this game with a 1-0 record, as the team defeated San Jose State 42-26 in its opening matchup.
During the victory, star quarterback Jayden Maiava led the USC offense. He completed 25-29 passes for nearly 300 yards and two touchdowns, which highlights his arm talent.
If Maiava is able to perform similarly this evening, then the USC squad will be a difficult team to beat.
Fresno State is coming off an impressive season, as the team possessed a 9-4 record last year. With this in mind, the Bulldogs will try to continue their great play during their first year in the Pac-12 Conference.
Senior wide receiver Josiah Freeman will be a key player to watch for Fresno State tonight. He led the team with 642 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns last year.
