On Friday, the San Francisco Giants announced their tentative 2027 Spring Training schedule. “Tentative” is not their word choice. They just opted for a straight up Spring Training schedule.
“Tentative” is my word choice, because friends … there probably ain’t gonna be a Spring Training. Or at least, it probably won’t be in spring.
A lockout is looming, and I’ll (happily) eat my shoe if it’s resolved in time for there to be a standard, as scheduled Spring Training. The caveat to there is that you all have to pay me to watch me eat said shoe, or else it ain’t happening. $10 a ticket, and at least 25 of you have to show up. Also, the shoe might be made out of cake. Who’s to say.

Only 167 days until a hopefully less-awful Giants season gets underway. Just book refundable hotels, folks. And thank me later.
