A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Fresno’s Tower District on Monday.
The crash happened at 7:15 p.m. on Olive Avenue, near Palm Avenue.
According to Fresno Police Lt. Alfonso Castillo, a vehicle traveling westbound on Olive was moving at the speed limit when a man walked in front of it. The pedestrian sustained significant injuries.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, Castillo said.
