Firefighters responded to an RV fire at an encampment near the West Oakland BART station Tuesday morning, according to the Oakland Fire Department.
The fire was reported at about 6:22 a.m. near Fifth and Kirkham streets, where one RV was burning.
At least one dog was tied to the RV, and animal control was requested to the scene, fire officials said.
It was not immediately known whether anyone was inside the RV when the fire started.
