OAKLAND — A local resident has been arrested and charged with forcible rape of a child after police alleged that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl weeks after they met online.
Adolfo Ramirez-Godines, 22, was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse and two counts of forcible rape. He’s being held at Santa Rita Jail without bail, court records show.
The charges were filed Sept. 1 after the girl came forward to police. She told them she met Ramirez-Godines through social media and that “they began dating shortly after and began having consensual sexual intercourse,” police said in court records.
But in July, Ramirez-Godines allegedly raped her at a hotel, authorities allege. The girl told police she believed Ramirez-Godines was a drug dealer and saw pictures of him posing with guns, so she continued to meet up with him out of fear. She told police that he knew where she lived and went to work, investigators said in court records.
The charges contain enhancements alleging Ramirez-Godines committed multiple sexual offenses and targeted a “vulnerable” victim. The criminal complaint indicates he has no criminal history.
