BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — At least one person is dead after a crash on Highway 46 near Wasco State Prison Wednesday morning.
According to the CHP’s website, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at around 6:16 a.m., there was a report of a crash between a white Ford and a white Chevy on Highway 46 at Wildwood.
The website said the crash was blocking the intersection.
It is unknown who died or if anyone else was hurt.
