ROCHESTER, Mich. — Head coach Greg Kampe and the Oakland University Men’s Basketball team have announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule, featuring three exhibition contests and a challenging regular-season slate highlighted by matchups against several Power Conference opponents.

The Golden Grizzlies begin their 2026-27 slate with three exhibition contests, opening against Grand Valley State on Oct. 15 at the OU Credit Union O’rena. Oakland then heads to the D for an exhibition meeting with Tennessee State for Wayne State’s Hoops and Culture Day on Oct. 24, before heading down I-75 to face Cincinnati on Oct. 27.

Oakland opens the regular season against the reigning NCAA National Champion Michigan in Ann Arbor on Nov. 2, before traveling west for back-to-back contests in California. The Golden Grizzlies face Stanford on Nov. 6, followed by UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 7.

The Golden Grizzlies then continue their road swing across the country with a test on Nov. 9 at Alabama in Tuscaloosa, followed by a quick trip back west to see Boise State on Nov. 11.

Oakland returns home on Saturday, Nov. 14, hosting Northern Iowa on the Blacktop at the OU Credit Union O’rena before heading back on the road for a pair of Power Conference matchups. The Golden Grizzlies travel Nov. 18 to Arizona State and a rematch in Mackey Arena with Purdue on Nov. 20.

Oakland closes November with a trip to Texas to face Houston in back-to-back seasons on Nov. 27.

The non-conference slate continues into December, with the Golden Grizzlies traveling to Arkansas for a midweek game on Tuesday, Dec. 8, followed by a short trip down to Toledo on Dec. 16.

The Black and Gold wrap up the non-conference with their annual meeting with Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans, this time in East Lansing, on Dec. 22.
