FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — 23-year-old Adrian Meza was arrested on Friday with a $2 million bail after a 93-year-old Fresno woman was shot multiple times in her bedroom when gunfire tore through her home early Thursday, June 25.

Fresno Police Department says officers assigned to the southeast Policing District responded to the residence for a report of a victim suffering a gunshot wound.

The woman was struck by gunfire three times in her lower body, and the home was hit 12 times.

The woman was taken to CRMC for treatment and was released from the hospital a week after the shooting.

Detectives later identified 23-year-old Adrian Meza as the suspect in the shooting.

On Sept. 4, 2026, a Fresno FAX officer was flagged down during an unrelated road-rage incident.

Police said Meza was contacted during that incident and taken into custody without incident.

Meza was booked into the Fresno County Jail, where his bail is being held at more than $2 million.
