BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — In what he is calling a “critical opportunity,” Congressman Vince Fong (R-Bakersfield) has endorsed Cassie Bittle and Ryan Crowl for Bakersfield City Council.
In a statement, Fong said he has worked with both Bittle and Crowl and that “both understand what it takes to run a business, balance a budget, make tough decisions and plan responsibly.”
Fong’s endorsement comes as Bittle is running for city council for the Ward 3 seat, which will be vacant by Ken Weir come November. Crowl is running to unseat Bob Smith, who currently represents Ward 4.
Bittle is a prominent businessowner in Bakersfield, owning and operating KC Steakhouse. She also sits on the city’s planning commission for Ward 3.
Crowl is a professional pilot who manages Lloyd’s Aviation near Meadows Field Airport. He is also the CEO and founder of Hangar Safe.
